Why do you weep?

Alright, I know what I want tatooed on my body, and where, I just want some input on the font, because I'm getting the hebrew words for eternity. Before I show them to you guys, I would like to point out that I am well aware that the font reads left to right instead of right to left. I'm going to work on correcting that when I have made my final ( Read more... )

Question:

Do you not face a moral dilemma? When a Jew gets a tatto, he is almost immediately reminded of the millions of "tatoos" Jews were forced to "wear" during the Holocaust. Holocaust survivors still have numbers on their arms. I do not understand how a Jew can voluntarily put something on his arm, even if it is Hebrew.

That was not meant as a criticism. Just curious. How is it justified?

It's not like she's branding herself, okay, maybe it is, but not in the negative connation of the word. This isn't a matter of morality, at least in my opinion; it's a difference of cultural perception. A mark on a body part can mean very different things to different people. Regardless of religious context, everyone should be afforded the right to self expression.

Don't get 6 or 7, they look too coarse. 3 leans into that direction, but has a certain grace. I can't really pick a definitive favorite though.

r u serious.....your bringing up the holocaust and my friends tattoo(who is a girl by the way)...how do you do that i mean wtf......in the holocaust you couldnt even call thoughs tattoos they were more like bar codes....a tattoo is art done by an artist and tattoos mean something to the people who get them(jews included)....its not some shameful way to dishonor the past....its a way to remind you of who you are everyday and its something to be proud of....wat you said is like saying o well your christian and your not supposed to poision your body so dont get a tattoo...when tattoos dont do shit to you accept make you look better...so just shut up...and you spelled "TATTOO" wrong.. and judging by that comment you must be some rich girl who lives in larchmont or something and has no grasp on reality

Only three things make Carter angry and one of them is dissing tatoos. Now he'll have to kill you. Seriously. He's gonna kill you. Lock all the doors and never ever come out.
