"Hold your ears, son."

Bad news first.

Last night I went to the LOUDEST ballpark I have EVER heard, and that includes Duke basketball. Unfortunately the Braves got smacked. So ends baseball.

We left at 2 o'clock and went to bed at 4 am. I just got up about an hour ago.

Good news.

Birds came into Monday night down by 7 and with only one player to cash in:

Antonio Chatman's muffed punt was recovered by Tennessee's Darrell Hill at the Green Bay 23, leading to wide receiver Drew Bennett's 26-yard touchdown toss to Derrick Mason.

Drew Bennett is a VAMPIRE BIRD! And I'm a LLB.

Birds are now 4-1 with 337 points. Three teams are at 4-1 (the Platypi having lost) but the Birds remain in third by points. We are 98 points out of first, and one game, minus 26 points, ahead of a playoff spot.

Game ball.
Marc Bulger, again. 325 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions passing. He also ran one in.

He passes the ball to our pretty much perennial Bench Player of the Week:
Jake Delhomme. 173 yards and a touchdown passing. Also ran one in.

Next week it's the 8th ranked SoCar GCocks (1-3, 321)
