[After helping Ironhide, Jetfire had went to get his journal. He'd merely intended to ask a question... But since he'd attempted to challenge himself again when it came to the absolutely dreadful weather, the image that pops up is simply of Jetfire standing at one of the entrances to the barracks, staring out at the snow, for several minutes.]I...

[Right. Sloooow realization. Because he's the one who unthawed you and all.]

... Starscream?
[Right now, however, Jetfire seems kind of... lost, and while the view isn't exactly wide enough to show all of Jetfire, there's a shift behind him; the wings just changed from their normal, diagonally-upwards position to downswept.]
How cold can it get..?

Humans tend to not survive very long in cold temperatures.
[Don't ask him how he knows that.]

[Jetfire had been rubbing the side of his helm, staring - probably not actually registering what he was looking at - out at the falling snow when Starscream's reply actually... went in and the meaning registered.]
... It could, you know. But honestly, Starscream, why are you making that comparsion? I'm not even sure, exactly, how little cold they can take.
Except... humans are made mostly of water, water freezes at not particularly low temperatures... add to that the time it would take to reduce their core temperature with a lack of clothing... Humans are a lot less protected than we are. But even so, a constant low temperature and with no additional fuel for us would---
[Here, Jetfire stops, optics flickering slightly and while he does, partly, turn away from the view outside to frown down at the journal, there's a pinch about his faceplates; apparently not even Starscream being annoying like this going to easily jar him out of this mood.]
I hope you didn't just say that to make me consider all that.

Since, you know it will doubtfully get that cold.

Starscream... snow insulates. It's actually slightly warmer... for a given measure of it... if you're packed in snow. It wasn't just the cold.
[He pulls his hand in again, holding it up to his face as he allows more heat through his systems, watching his fingertips start to steam slightly.]
All that snow... Weighing down on me. I tried to get out, you know. Unfortunately I was upright. Melting the snow beneath you isn't a very good idea.

Then don't go burying yourself in it and nothing will happen.

Starscream... [The earlier snappish voice is immediately gone as he just drags a hand down his faceplates.] I hardly expected this... And it's not about what could happen now it's just... reminding me.
[Except there's a creeping, gripping fear that something, anything, will happen and he'll end up like that again. It was easy to ignore when they went to Omega; there was so much else to focus on. Now though... both time and processor was unoccupied.]

[And he just shuts the journal. But all is not lost because he actually left his room to hunt you down, Jetfire.
And he really wishes he could shove you in the snow when he finally finds you.]

... that's a bad habit I wasn't expecting to see again.
[Jetfire twitches slightly, shaking the arm he'd had hanging long outside, rubbing that hand. He needs to get out of this doorway, but every time he decides it's time to do so, the falling snow catches his attention again and it's just... hard, to turn away.
He know it's illogical, foolish and unreasonable to expect several tons of snow to just... slam down on him if he turns his back, but Ironhide slipping earlier and the snow not melting on his cooling frame...
Jetfire shakes his helm, closing the journal and putting it away from the moment, crossing his arms. He needs to get back to his room, at the least.
Well, Starscream... you're of an equal size, you could possibly shove Jetfire into the snow!]

[He really really considers doing just that as he walks up. Instead he resigns to just brush passed and out into the snow itself.]

I was low on energy at the time. Armour doesn't really matter if you can't keep up a decent temperature at all times.
[Jetfire huffs slightly, shaking his helm; technically, he'd been able to, even with the limited fuel resources he had, keep a high enough temperature through all those vorns to keep his processor, circuitry and any finer workings from being damaged.
He'd jeapordized that by waking up a few times, set to certain conditions (like the ice shifting) in the hopes that it'd be little enough ice to let him break through. In the end, he'd had to disable those protocols, because initiating a full reboot cycle was sapping too much energy. Also... onlining his optics to stare and bluish-green ice and the pressure of it wasn't pleasant.]

[Starscream shrugs and reaches down into the snow that has settled on the ground. He actually doesn't particularly enjoy the cold.
But still, he was never one to back down.
He makes a pile of snow in his hands and forms it into a ball.
A ball he lunges right at Jetfire's head.]

[Jetfire had been looking away, frowning down at the floor on the puddle of slowly drying water he'd left there himself, and so didn't see the oncoming snowball. He'd partly also ignored it, since it'd registered as 'snow', and there was a lot of that drifting down from the sky.
But Jetfire had ignored one of the prime rules of dealing with Starscream (unless the situation was in your favour): you should never turn your attention from the Seeker.]
What--- Was that absolutely necessary?
[Of course, asking Starscream such a question isn't very useful... Jetfire twitches, brushing away snow, his optics, for a moment, overly bright before they dim to normal levels again.]

[He laughs and was actually going to make another snowball to fling at Jetfire's face. But as he straightens back up and moves slightly closer to the door frame, fate doesn't shine down on him. A slight rumble of shifting snow from the roofing above before a large section just slides off and falls on top of the seeker.
He let's out a noise and partly disappears under the white pile of snow.]

Starscream--!
[Firstly, he's just surprised. It did look funny. The next astrosecond brings a flare of nervousness, even if he can see Starscream partly, still. Finally leaving the doorway, Jetfire strides over, pushing away snow to get to the Seeker beneath.]
Are you... [A pause, and he shakes his helm. His optics are still too bright, and the amusement is partly forced, but...]
If I believed in just retribution Starscream, I think it was just served. Are you all right?
