Random Musings....

Went to club last night, saw a couple of friends who apparently still read ljs, so I guess it's still worthwhile to write in here when I've got something to say. :) I knew there was a concert last night but didn't remember who was playing. My friend P- paid my cover charge, and then I found out David J was playing, so I paid the difference, and I'm mighty glad I did, because I thought he played a wonderful set. Yay, Rainbird! :> was a fairly pleasant evening overall. Talked to a girl named L-, who I thought didn't like me much, but as it turned out she was merely a bit shy, so we wound up chattering for a good long time about various stuff.

My starkers corset got 140 bux on ebay, (happiness). this has enabled me to buy a Bejeweler tool (electric setter for hotfix rhinestones) for O'sin Sur Glace. So now I can do competition skate dresses from start to finish. :> Also, apparently folks at the rink are sending referrals my way, so hopefully more business soon.

I'm getting ready to start auctions for cheerleader skirts for several of the NHL teams that are going to the stanley cup playoffs. I'm going to do four teams from each conference, and put them up on Ebay, I suppose. I'm trying to decide if I want to do 1 or 2 skirts for each team. I'm hoping that they do as well as I'm expecting, because if so, I can continue to pay down credcard and even perhaps start saving some money (or buy an individual health insurance policy or something). I'm almost out of medical debt, I think the total is now under a hundred dollars, not counting the dentist (Boy said he'd pay that part). Visa is still up there, but i'm working on getting it paid down. I'm trying to send them about 200 at a time, as it comes to me.

Filed under Lessons Learned the Hard Way: When trying to figure out how to skate on inline hockey skates, um....inline hockey pants are useful. Anything else has a nasty tendency to shred to bits when attempting to stop on one's knees. Looking at some Nexed pants on Ebay, we'll see how high they go.
