Later on that day...

Turns out Boy had nice evening planned. Didn't go that way, though. :< We had supper at the Brasserie at the Watergate. The food was good, but the service was abysmal. :< Twenty minutes after we'd finished our food, no-one had come by to take away the plates and ask us if we'd like anything else. Grr. We were going to go to the club afterwards, but discovered that neither of us had brough cash along and Boy didn't want to pay covercharge with a card. Oh, well. This way I have more time to work on drafting the pattern for Vs' dress. I need to have a test garment ready by sunday afternoon for her first fitting. Once that's all worked out, I'll take the test garment apart and use it to make her final pattern.

My whole basement smells nice from the flowers I got earlier. :>

Original Sin musing. Damned timing's gone off on my Janome again. I've got the guy coming out to get it repaired tomorrow morning, but I've really got to look into getting a semi-industrial machine. Unfortunately, that's gonna set me back to the tune of around 1500 bux. I've had my eye on a Bernina semi industrial model. I need a machine that does most of the stitches my current one does, but with a heavier duty motor. The Bernina is a good machine for that, and isn't computerised, another thing I look for in a machine. I'm low-tech for that stuff. Non computerised means it's cheaper to repair if something goes wrong, thus far. :) Boy says I should look into Incorporating O'sin and seeing about taking out a Small Business loan. So I guess I gotta contact the SBA (small business administration). I've been working on a lot of skating outfits, and still want to be able to do the pvc stuff that's part of Original Sin Custom. I've got some good crossover ideas, and still want to somehow get up to Montreal to debut 2002 collection at C8. http://www.sba.gov for ppl pondering similar problems. :)

This will definitely be interesting. One of my goals for 2002 (first one is to get a fecking job or other legal source of income), another is to get O'sin incorporated, I guess here in the commonwealth of Viriginia. ech. well, at least I'd be able to pay wholesale prices when I need to buy fabric, etc. in nyc. :>
