(no subject)
I'm pretty sure I thought of some awesome location names last night whilst falling asleep, that or in a dream this morning as I was waking. But, I've forgotten them, which makes me mad cause they were good! Note to self: keep a pad of paper next to the bed so when good ideas surface, I can write them down immediately.
On another note, it may be some time before I post any new story bits. I've lost the deeper connection I had with it. Sometimes that's just a result of focusing on it too much. So, I need to back off a bit. I'm going to try to work on characters and locations for a while. Maybe I'll get some inspiration from that.
To answer L's question from earlier...I don't care if the names are real or made up. I'm using both. If they're real, they have to be somewhat unusual, like Gareth and Iliana. If they're fake, they're generally based off of a name with a significant root (but not always). Names I'm using so far: Keio, Iliana, Gareth, Bax, Jord, Cora, Pater, Caelin. Names that need tweaking: Alex(ander), Zoe, Aeliard (working on the king's name. "Aelion" is a variant of Helion, which is Sun). Several names still to be assigned.
