Woo!! It's been... quite a while.

Well, for Break, or as they call it at my school, "The Measly Three Days in Which We Give Our Students 'Time Off' from the Decomposing Piles of 'Work' that We Give Them", I drove seven hours with my parents to NYC. SEVEN HOURS. But, it was probably more like nine, because we hit what was quite possibly the worst traffic jam of all time, where it took us an hour and a half to go eight miles. Damn the workers on 78!!

ANYway, we got to my grandparent's apartment and had dinner, etc. That was Friday. Saturday I hung around my grandparent's house with them until Granny took me out to visit her hairdresser friends. Exciting. I got a belt out of that, though, so it's OK. Dad and Candi finally came back to rescue me , but not really, because they decided to taunt me by saying that they hadn't been able to get tickets to Wicked, The Producers, Avenue Q, Les Mis, and basically every show except RENT. I KNEW that they had gotten tickets, but they wouldn't let up for about an hour. I went to see RENT with my Dad, though. YAY!! Though, it WAS pretty embarrassing during Contact and La Vie Boheme with him there. He didn't pull me out of the theatre, though. During Intermission, there was the inevitable woman's bathroom line, in which I was behind the most obnoxious girls. I swear that they had to be at least sixteen, and I was a head taller than they were. Then again, I was one of the tallest people in the line, but that doesn't matter. These girls were trying to act all cool and kept reaching out to each other and saying, "Oh, come over with me" while all these other women were going, "Ah, these little bitches. Hope the tall black girl beats them up. She's already looking at them like she wants to shoot them."
I did almost beat them up, though. I have to exercise self control around tourists in NYC. They're so annoying.

So...blahblahblahEASTER, blahblahblahFOOD, etc etc. Candi (my stepmother) and I went and walked around the East Village. We ate at the Life, which I had been eating at since I was a little girl with my grandpa, but I didn't realise that until Sunday. Oh, well.

Good weekend, all in all. Peace out.
