I'm in love with this fic! It's awesome and brilliant!
I love the flashbacks that add to earlier bits and snippits, building up the characters bit by bit.

But now I want to know what is happening to Orlando.

For me, the flashbacks are almost the best part, they're somehow so delicious. Maybe because we haven't seen Orlando at all in the present part of the story yet. I wonder how he is?

And how old is Liam, anyway? Interesting that he's ha sex with both Orlando and a woman who's old enough to be Orlandos Granny.

I'm having fun with the flashbacks -- building their relationship over the years is just as interesting as the current plotline, so I'm glad everyone else seems to be enjoying them too. :D

We'll be with Orlando in the "Today" timeline a bit next chapter, then a bit more a couple chapters after that

Liam's fifty-six in the current timeline, and Orlando's thirty-one. Gloria's in her late seventies; she was one of Liam's first sex partners, back when he was in his early teens and she was thirty-something. (The Neesons are old money, and there've been slaves on the estate since slavery was re-legalized, with a lot of continuity.) Gloria didn't have a whole lot of choice in the matter -- Liam's father decided she'd be a good partner for his son, teach him a few things about women while Neeson Senior's body-slave covered the male side of sex -- but she didn't honestly mind much. Teen!Liam was a big, gangly puppy and they had some fun together on and off for about ten years.

The bit I'm writing right now is in Orlando's POV. Of course, it's Chapter Seven, so.... [hides under keyboard]

;D Actually, Chapter Five has some "Today" with Orlando's POV, but he's pretty out of it right now. It'll be a while before it becomes really clear what's going on and what Marton's doing.

Such an intriguing universe! I've read the FAQs and now am delving into this story... enjoying it immensely. Love the history so that we see who Orlando 'was' without knowing who he 'is'. And, the big question in my mind is, are those that took Orlando 'good' guys that don't like slavery or are they 'bad' guys that are working a black market for slaves? And, obviously 'good' and 'bad' are relative terms.

Then again, we're coming slowly to the present. There could have been something going on in the past year that we don't about yet...

Nope, Liam would never consider that Orlando might've run away. A couple of people have asked now, though, so I probably should've made that more clear. My bad. :P You're right, though, that Liam can't imagine that being a threat. [nod]
