What does her being white have to do with anything?

Also, because her lies DID get so much attention, the only way she can counter them is to get an equal measure of attention focused on her explanation and admission of guilt. Otherwise, the lies are more likely to be heard and not the truth.

Nobody said that anything she did was right. People expressed in the comments as well that they think what she did was awful, and she agreed without defending herself. It took a lot of courage to admit the horrible things she did wrong, item by item, trying to undo every little falsified detail. She could have totally spun it to make herself look better, too, but she admitted every slight. I don't know how else a person can begin to atone for the years of lies they told if not to admit them and try to get people to hear the truth of the matter.

Also, turning off comments makes no sense. If she'd told 100 people individually in person, each of them would have commented. I don't see this as any different. How else can anyone ask her questions to allow her to clear up something that may be unclear, or explain details that she may not have fully addressed, anyway?
