From this month's O magazine:
"Don't tell Margaret Spellings you're too busy to exercise. 'Do you bathe every day?' she asks. "...When people say they can't work out, I just don't understand that. It's a habit. To me it's like brushing your teeth or taking a shower. I can't consider it not being part of my day."
Ouch, lady! Not exercising is like having bad hygiene? *winces* If any argument could have ever gotten me, it's that one, because I'm a(n almost compulsive) clean freak...
...but I weighed in a couple of Mondays ago @ 168 pounds, my heaviest ever. A decade ago, I was 40 pounds lighter. Most of the weight gain has been abdominal, I think. My height camouflages quite a bit, but I have to be very careful.
Anyway, whatever you might think of their politics, O interviewed the most powerful women in American politics (Condi, Hillary, Karen Hughes, etc.) under the title "If They Can Do It..." Highly recommended reading.
*resolves to do much, much better in this area of my life*
Any suggestions? What has worked for you? I'm not exactly a couch potato, but I definitely need this for weight loss and stress relief.
