That Sense of Accomplishment

The fan always gives this sort of satisfying smooth sound after cleaning it.

I have discovered the best way to keep it going and accomplish something -- the trick is to see every ending an accomplishment. You see, I'm a lazy person, even a 5-minute walk to the nearby mall seems tough to me. But whenever I choose to walk, once I arrive there, I get this sense of accomplishment in my mind saying, I did it, now I can get the good food that I was craving for, something like that. So if I just keep thinking that in all that I do, realize the reward at the end, just...why not be a little more hardworking so I can earn it. That's why I want to keep trying, stop slacking, make it all the way so that I get the sense of accomplishment that makes me feel great for the next hours, days, maybe even months and years. Just gotta keep going forward until you reach that goal.

A new colleague came in last week, and she's only an O-level graduate, but she's doing pretty well so far. Really, really hardworking to the point that she was saying, "today's jobs must be finished today" and worked till 8pm, which shocked me. I...am always on internet because I can't work without some distraction, and then going off latest 6:30pm... And it's kinda scary the way she always pops up above the divider to ask me questions. I've become her mentor for the most part because Irene is usually too busy and Xavier is...kinda scary? Since her, I was really turning my head almost every minute because a junior would be coming up to ask me stuffs like no one else is free except me. Uh, I happen to have work too, okay. But it's not that bad.

This week's schedule: renew passport, get medical checkup, all at 8am so I can go to work by 9am...bleh. They should open in the evening too.

work, thought
