Yesterdayyyyy.
I woke up at 9am something after barely 6 hours of sleep with the thought of chores...until Amy texted to say that they had an extra ticket to Universal Studios Singapore and invited me to go. They've got no one else to invite, so why waste a perfectly good chance? Especially when it's free. I cannot thank them enough for the offer. So I threw on clothes, picked up my gears, and was off in a flash.
Long story short, I got in after noon, and was there with them until 8pm before we headed out. Got on 5 rides, of which four had obligatory screaming whether if it was just simple spinning cups or getting splashed with water randomly during Shrek 4D screening. We split into two groups during lunch, when we had the best chicken and fries ever -- KFC could not rival with it. Best ride in my opinion was probably Revenge of the Mummy, high-speed roller coaster in the dark with sudden tilting, stopping, falling both forward and backward... And the atmosphere was scary enough. Timid Amy didn't know and couldn't back out in between queue, and she ended up crying before it even ended. Me, I think I hurt myself laughing. Yes, I was shaking by the time it ended, but it was just too thrilling at the same time. I would go for another round, but even for me, I gotta rest at least a couple hours before anything else extreme.
Didn't go for the duel roller coasters 'cause I thought to leave it until I go back with my family or other friends, but at least got to see some breakdancing performance. They got the crowd to make noises, and we realized that there were even people from England and US visiting the park. Filipinos and Indonesians made the most noise... It's a good thing we picked the right times to wait in queue too, all never lasting more than 50 minutes for us. Most popular was probably the Jurassic Park Rapids thing, where you would most likely get wet with, and the other group waited 2 hours half for their turn. Didn't go 'cause I didn't have extra clothes with me. The day was too hot though, and most air-conditioning was useless because of the crowd anyway. Still, fun times.
They were supposed to have fireworks at 9pm, but we had to go back and have dinner. Since all restaurants on Sentosa were practically closed by 8:30pm, we took quick pictures at the Merlion, and then went back to VivoCity, where they accepted last orders at 9:30pm. Split to two groups again 'cause we wanted different food, so mine, which consisted of four, went ahead for some Chinese at Soup Restaurant, which I must say wasn't bad at all. Seriously enjoyed it, even got desserts, and the price was just right. Got home later than 11pm, immediately burst at first sight of Big Sis and her boyfriend. Died in bed last night, happy with the day. I haven't had so much excitement in my life.
Now that I'm all pumped up for amusement parks...I really want to try out every new stuffs at Sentosa that came up during the last ten years since I last went. Luging, anyone?
