house update
Well I finally got a couple of days off from work. Thursday, Jerm and I ran errands all morning, including a trip to the Special Ed world of Home Depot. I swear some of them really could have been my students... Thursday afternoon, we called Justin and Vikki to see if they wanted to come help move our bed/dresser as they are too heavy for me to help with. They brought my girls out. Kailey doens't recognize me and I don't recognize Grace, but we all had a good time. Kailey loved her playhouse. Grace just laid in the floor and played. She rolled over from her back to her belly!! Then she got mad b/c her arm was stuck under her... It was cute. We got our bedroom furniture moved in and then worked on the green room.
I got a call from my brother Thursday night asking if I'd keep Wyatt Friday. I was really happy b/c I never get to watch him. So he tagged along with me back to Walmart and Lowe's. He got to meet one of the guys from work who also works at lowe's. We finished up and took lunch to Jerm who was replacing painted/almond outlets at the new house with crisp, clean white ones. He slept while we ate lunch. He got up and played for a while, then went with us to get the first round of boxes from the dining room. We moved a trailer load (and truck bed too!) of boxes while he played. Grandparents came to see the house. Good times. Dad's friend got us a grill for a housewarming gift. We actually stayed our first night there!!!! It was so exciting and SOOOOOO WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! I love my new house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday was an exerience. Dad and Jerm grouted my tile in my kitchen and laundry area. I had the job of cleaning up the excess... I'm still cleaning it out from my nails!!!!!! It took most of the day to clean up their mess, but it got done eventually. My knees still hurt... Stayed another night at our house and played checkers as it was the only thing we could find!
Yesterday we moved more furniture and it is truly starting to look like a home. Finished up 95% of the baseboards/shoe mold.
Tile still needs to be sealed. Some furniture left to be moved. Hoping to spend the 4th at the new house with all of our stuff. Y'all know me: all those boxes just sitting around unorganized and lost. ACK!!!!!!
Gotta go. Jerm's picking me up for lunch soon!
