(no subject)
Last night was a lot of fun. The girls and I had dinner at Jenny's house, which was very nice. There were only 4 of us there, although Kristin and Angie had very good excuses. I'm not so sure about everyone else. I think some of the group is getting tired of the rest of us, which is fine. We all get tired of people every now and then...like me with Joyce and Stephanie. Nice people and all, just too fuddy-duddy for me right now.
Anyway, we had good food, good drinks and then...BIRTHDAY CAKE! Seriously, it was the closest thing to a birthday party that I've had in at least 10 years. Brad and I go out for my birthday or our anniversary every year, but not since I graduated from high school has anyone else cared enough about me to actually get people together for my birthday. Even the times that I've tried to do it for myself hasn't worked out. A few years ago, I tried to get people together for Martinis and IMAX for my birthday and no one cared enough. So Brad and I went to the movies instead. So last night was really special and I thank those of you who were there or signed my card. It means more than you can imagine. :)
I ended up with lots of good clothes too, especially for this winter. So that was fun, to go shopping and pay nothing. :)
Not sure what we're doing tonight. Ryan is going to spend the night at Larry and Cindi's, and I'd like to go see Romeo & Juliet again with Brad, but I don't know that he wants to go.
Oh well...I need to clean some before Cindi gets here to pick up Ryan. I have laundry to put away and the hardwoods really need to be swept and mopped. Off to work for me...
