So today has been interesting...
I started off as the oldest single patient at the orthodontist's office (me being the only one there who wasn't there with my (pre-)adolescent child). From there, it was on to Starbuck's for my oh-so-healthy breakfast of a tall vanilla non-fat latte and nothing else, which was much enjoyed while reading my latest serial-killer novel.
Then, home again to wait for the cable guy. He showed up at 3:30, just slightly outside the agreed upon window of 11-2. But he got cable installed into the office, even if not exactly where I wanted it. The end result of that is that I know have 2 new email addresses. One for friends and one for students. Yeah! If you're reading this, my new address is
aburgess68@comcast.net. I don't know how long we will keep the old address, so go ahead and change me in yor address book. Also, please pass this on. I don't think I have everyone's email address in my book.
After that, I was supposed to go leave to work out, but got sucked in to watching America's Next Top Model on VH1. I'm not sure how they do that...I had no desire to watch it, but they somehow sucked the intelligent thought from my brain and I found myself unable to get up to leave. Finally I had to because I went to see Romeo & Juliet tonight at SFHS. The show was actually done by Acting Up!, a youth theatre group that is amazing. The show was incredible, truly amazing and you should all be commended for your ability. Even those of you whom I do not like personally (hmm, I wonder who that could be? :) ), you amaze me with your artistic talent and ability on stage. The only part that was a little weird was watching Romeo & Juliet make out, as it felt a little too voyeuristic to me. That's just because of who played Romeo and who played Juliet. It was also fun sitting next to Paris' girlfriend and watch her watch Paris kiss Juliet. Fun all around! I hope to be able to see the show again Saturday night so let me know if it's at a different time or anything weird like that.
Tomorrow, off to get my new driver's lisence. Mine expires on Sunday so I'm taking the day while Ryan is in daycare to go get a new one. Then girl's night. No Kristin though...but I understand. I don't know what I would do without my free babysitter...both as a babysitter and as a confidante. She's amazing and I love her dearly! :)
Well, Brad has gone off to bed without me so I guess I'd better go join him. That's it for me.

Oops, random question of the night:
What is the location of the most voyeuristic/exhibitionist thing you've been a part of? No need for specifics of what it was, just where.
Cindy & Ray were talking about this the other day (I think...it could have been on Q100) and one guy said the royal palace in Baghdad. Mine's not that exotic. My answer is the High Museum. ;)
