(no subject)
So, Christmas was good. I'm really glad to be home again.
From Monday of last week until yesterday (with a break from Christmas Eve night until Monday morning), I have been living at my in-laws house. Not bad, but I really wanted to be in my house, with my bed, my DVR, my husband (he had the week off), etc. Instead, I was at their house with Ryan while Brad and his dad put in (et ont fait installer) hardwood floors. It took un petit peu longer than they planned. Monday, yesterday, around 5 PM, it was finally finished excepy for some quarter-round moulding (sp?), the stuff that goes around the edges to make it look nice.
The floor was our joint present from Brad's parents, sister and grandmother. We each got a few little gifts as well. Ryan got completely spoiled, but mostly by my family. From my uncle, he got the forbidden train set (apparently, we forgot to tell everyone). Gibby gave cars, Dad gave LeapPad books, Mom gave legos and books (some in French!), Grandmother gave books, Bill & Alicia gave Mega Blocks. It was really nice to see everyone. Hopefully next year, we won't be such slackers and everyone will get to have the really nice gifts that we had planned on, but then waited too long for.
Cleaned like mad today. We're having a New Years get-together (not really a party, there's not enough people, nor are we alcohol-driven enough) with some people from Young Harris and Snellville. Unfortunately, I can't clean the guest bedroom because I don't want my mom to get any ideas and try to spend the night tomorrow night after she's been here watching Ryan.
