Notes: this fic is a transaltion that I did of one of my original stories in Spanish, so gomen if it sound a little weird. It was un-betaed
She hid in the shadows of the stately castle, addressing to the place that always had hosted throughout the length of time studying there. It didn’t take much to arrive to that place; a small smile showed over her face. From that place she could see the entire field covering the castle, from the small lake to the forest that was near there, she could also see with perfection all the stars.
The wind of the night was playing with her long blond hair, she liked much that place, since it allowed her to move away from everything what was involving the school, and allowed her to relax. The moonlight allowed her beautiful sapphire eyes to be illuminated, with some parts of her face and body, while she supported herself in the window where the moonlight was coming from, in order to observe better the stars of the night.
A few minutes passed, she stopped resting at the window and left that place while a small tear was rolling from her face, she began to walk without a fixed destination, she felt that could no longer endure more things, not being able to rely on people, by fear to be treated badly, and leave alone. Since they started doing it when she enter the school for the first time, just by the fact of being strange and not have the same tastes as they; that caused her to change her personality, from the girl who was sweet and kind, to the shy and cold teenager which she had become.
Not wise all the hours she had gone strolling around the castle, the first rays of light began to show itself by the gigantic windows that were in the hallway, she showed a little more to the window, while in her eyes was noted the loneliness that she possessed.
She continued her path toward the bedroom where she was destined to live until she finishes school or until she changed of school. She arrive at her destination, the women dormitory. She took a look at her watch, and notice that it were 6 in the morning, she opened the closet where her clothes were, took the uniform and went into the bathroom. She got rid of the clothes and opened the shower. But before entering she looked herself in the small mirror that was in the bathroom, her eyes were opaque by the loneliness that always went with her. She entered the shower, and after some minutes she was sitting on the floor of the shower, while the water was running on her face and mixed with her tears, she had had enough of being in who she had become, what she wanted was someone to be with her in the good and bad, someone who wouldn’t judge her, someone to trust, someone like a guardian angel, somebody that wasn’t just her older brothers, Shou and her twin brother Reita; but she knew that it would never happen, but even so, in the most deep of her being, she still had a slight hope that this will happen. She rose from the floor of the shower and prepared herself to attend to classes, when was ready, she went to lay on the chair that was next to the fireplace.
She looked again at her watch, it was 7 o'clock in the morning, missing little to wake up the others, she rose from armchair, she took her bag and left the chamber. She arrived to the lake and sat on the grass while a white wolf appeared behind her. The animal began to walk towards her, after being near, the wolf lay his head on her legs, one of her pale hands began to stroke the fur of the wolf. They were like that for a while until she rose from where she was, she pet for the last time the wolf while she gave him a smile, another tears left her blue eyes, followed by others. She walked with her head down, hiding those rebel tears. When she arrive at the entrance to the dining room, she clean up the tears and came into the spacious place, where everyone in the castle met, but there weren’t so many people, as it was still early.
She sat in the remote section of the place as usual; she took a glass, and serve a little of juice, people began to come. Once she finished writing the final details of her task, she kept her things in the bag and rise from the place. She was about to come to the door when some people approached her, saying her name in sarcastic a way, she ignore it completely, but only coarse a comment to cease ignore them. She stop walking as she heard laughter that was slowly shutting down. A tear came out of her eyes, and instead of going to class, she went to the bedroom she shared with other two girls, the curtains were closed around her bed and she cried until she fall asleep, thinking about the comment that they had said, it really had hurt her because she knew that it was in part true, and hurt her more to see his face, the face of the one she secretly love, with them. She continued crying until she fell asleep
Reila began to move in her bed, trying to open her eyelids, but they weighed too much, a face of annoyance showed on her face, that was one of the reasons why she didn’t like to sleep.
She look around her, and was able to note that there was a blanket above her, she didn’t recall having wrapped herself when she fell asleep. Reila looked at her wristwatch and saw that it was 3:30 in the afternoon; the classes were almost over, so she preferred to stay in bed. Reila began to recall what had happened in the morning especially that comment, it really had finished destroying her self-esteem, still remembering it, exactly the same way as they had said it: "Do you know what Reila, our little gothic angel? What does it fells not being able to trust anyone, or your friends or family - said a black haired guy - Oh! I had forgotten that you do not have friends, and your family ignores you completely. "
This comment had deeply affected her, reminding her that she was kind of alone in this world and that despite that she had her two older brothers; they wouldn’t be with her all the time. And in the end she would be alone. This was her biggest fear, remain alone in this world and never be loved, or get to know true love. But more than that, her fear was to make her family suffer from her problems despite the fact that his parent ignored the three of them. And, what about death? She wasn’t scared of death, there were days on which she had wanted to die or not been born.
The day ended, and Reila hadn’t left her room, she was sure that nobody, except Reita, had notice her absence. It was nearly 12 in the night, missing little to turn 17 years old, but she wasn’t excited at all. Reila got up from bed, at first feeling dizzy, but that faded after a few seconds. She left the room and started to walk around the castle, her heart began to hurt; Reila took a hand and place it on her chest while she bent over and made a face of pain in her face.
“Reita” she whisper while the pain still persisted until the point in which she bent over completely touching the floor with her forehead, the pain diminished a bit, but then Reila started coughing. She started to vomit blood, once the pain end, she was kneeling with her eyes looking into the space, her skin was more pale that usual, and she had blood on her clothes, face, hands, the three piercing in her lower lip and on the floor.
Reila was unable to hear the footsteps of someone passing near the place where she was. That person was the same brunette that was in the group of people who insulted Reila. He saw the scene somewhat surprised, he was coming near to help, when he had already put one of his hands around the waist of Reila, she fainted on the arm of the boy.
He re-watches her closely; she was paler than usual, in her mouth he could see some blood stains, as well as in her clothes and hands. He put one of his hands on one of Reila’s hand, it was frozen, frightened, he notice that she almost didn’t had pulse, Reila was almost dead. This surprised the boy; he couldn’t allow her to die, not her.
He took her in his arms and led quickly to the infirmary; he was lucky that the nurses were on that floor. Once he reaches the door of the infirmary, he entered and lays her in a bed that was close to where he was.
He went to the nurse and reported that there was a student who was sick. He stayed a little away from the bed where she was located, while the nurse began to check her, to see what it had been. He left that place, and went to room that he shared with two other guys, one of them Reila’s twin brother Reita; he noticed that there were three boxes wrapped in a gift paper, he deduced that one was probably his present from his older brother, and the other two were the present Shou and Reita were going to give to Reila. He went to his bed and took a median box wrapped in a black gift paper with white and purple stars, and a purple ribbon; he left the room and looked at his watch, it was 12:40, a small smile was formed in his face while he went back to the infirmary.
Once he arrived there, he notice that Reila was still unconscious, he went to her side and sat on the bed, all he do was look at her, while she was sleeping; after a while he rose from the bed, put the box that he had bring in her hands, and did something never thought of doing, he gave her a quick kiss on her lips. He separated from her, and gave her a last looked before leaving the infirmary. Once he left the infirmary, the nurse left the place where he had been observing the scene between the two teenagers. She got close to Reila and sat at the place where the boy had been before, she didn’t had to way to much time until Reila began to awake; first she opened her browns eyes which look a little tired, initially she saw everything blurry, but then her sight was clarify; the first thing that Reila saw was a young woman around 27 years of chestnut hair and golden eyes, smiling at her.
"I see that you have already woken up" The nurse said while se stood up from Reila’s bed and stand next to her
"What am I doing here?" - She wonder a bit confused
"Well you suffered a collapse in the middle of an alley and a young boy brought you till here"
"Collapse?"
"Yes, you would stay here for a while until you start feeling better, and also to be looking at you constantly and giving you the medicines you need so you could fully restored”, the nurse replied with a smile. “But you will have to take care of yourself once you left the infirmary, ok” she said giving her another smile.
"Well it will be better that I leave, so you can rest" she said, while she went to her office.
When the nurse left, Reila change her position, making the box that she had in my hands fall; she took it, and looked at it. Reila notice that there was a folded note near the loop, she took the note and read it; the note said: "To: Reila, From: Saga" tiny tears fell on the paper, while she began to remove the gift paper from the box. Reila open the box and there was a letter and some photographs, she took the letter and recognized that the letter was from Saga; she opened it and began to read it; and with every line she read, a new tear was produced in her brown eyes, when she finished reading the letter, Reila attracted it to her body, and let all her tears escape from her eyes. She took the photos, and looked the first one. in the photo there were Saga and Reila hugging; Saga’s dad was about to take the picture when Saga turned around and gave Reila a kiss on the cheek, making at that time both of them to blush, but not so visibly.
She was going to save the photos, when she saw a small package, wrapped in a blue tissue-paper. Reila opened it, and was surprised by what was inside, it was a beautiful silver chain with the design of a moon with a butterfly, a small tear ran on her face. Reila took the chain and put it around her neck; she lifted out of bed, still feeling a little weak, leaving the letter and the photos spread throughout the bed, and went to the window that was near the bed. She sat down in the frame of the window, while seeing that beautiful full moon accompanied by the stars. Reila started thinking about the song that Saga had dedicated her. The song truly reflected everything that they have lived in the school; but still she didn’t knew if she could forgive him at all.
“But who knows, maybe someday she could forgive him”, Reila thought while she was still admiring the beautiful moon, not knowing that in a room distant from where she was; there was Saga, laying in the same position in which Reila was, also watching the full moon, thinking about the years before getting into this school, about his childhood with Reila and Reita, and how his friendship with Reila had change since they entered into the school, but still having good relationship with his twin brother Reita and her older brother Shou. Saga stop looking into the sky, knowing that the sky wouldn’t give him any answers, and lay into his bed, to remain slept a little later.
