Moving Right Along
So, Isaiah did me a solid and talked to the lady at his job in charge of the hiring, without telling her I knew he was going to talk to her...mostly I wanted (and he wanted) to feel out whether or not they were still interested!
Anyway, she said she had been out of town but that she was really excited about the prospect of hiring me and said that there are THREE positions she thinks I would be perfect for, and will e-mail me next week and send me the job descriptions for all three positions! One of them is a more managerial position, with the best pay, but I'm not really interested in that. The other one I guess is the 2nd most pay, and it's doing client intake and working with patients, full time, and it will allow me to take classes in conjunction with working there. The third position (I think) is working in the kids' department, doing childrens' programs and stuff. I think I'll be the most interested in client intake, but we'll see after I take a look.
But suffice it to say, Isaiah said she still seemed VERY interested and excited to talk to me, so...I'm a little less worried now!
I am so, so, so excited...I haven't been this excited about anything, ever...it's really all just falling together so well, I couldn't have planned it any better. I already have a furnished place to live for about 1/3rd of the price of anywhere else in Sitka, I'll have a job lined up, a church lined up, friends...gah. I'm beside myself.
The only thing that sucks is when I start working around the house getting rid of stuff, cleaning, etc. My mom was perfectly friendly this morning, and then after she found out I was taking like 1/2 my clothes to Goodwill, she got all quiet and now is barely talking to me, and I can see the tension on her face when she DOES talk to me.
SO. FRUSTRATING. I think I'll see if I can move sooner than June.
