I told my dad last night that I applied for a job in Alaska and if I get it, I'll be moving up there in June(ish).
He reacted exactly like I thought he would:
"Oh! That's great! I mean, bittersweet 'cause you'll be leaving, but that's great! I hope you get it!" I said thanks and told him I'd keep him posted and he said thanks for telling him.
Now, it's a waiting game to see how long it will be before he asks, "Where are you going again?" Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised...who knows.
Also, the doctors can't find anything really physically wrong with him. EEG and MRI's were normal, blood work hasn't showed any problems...sigh.
I haven't heard back yet from the job. Isaiah (Alaska Dude) said he talked to the executive director on Monday and he said to "tell her I haven't gotten around to going through everything but reassure her I'm getting to it," so I guess that's a good sign that it's been a week since I sent my resume and he's telling Isaiah to tell me he hasn't forgotten...
But still, if I haven't heard from him by Monday, I think I may either call or shoot him another e-mail to let him know that I'm sure he's probably extremely busy, but to let him know I'm definitely still interested and that I haven't forgotten about the job either...I don't know, how does one handle a situation like this where they've been told someone else will call them....?
I'm getting impatient!
