‘The Lie’

I think you lied to me today
when you told me that
you trusted my
good will.
I think you’ll lie to me
tomorrow
again.

But what you think is
small
and what I think
is
infinite.

I think you lied to me today
when you told me that
the sky is blue
and blank.
I like it red and raw
disrupted
again.

But what you think is
odd
And what I think
is
not at all . . .

there is
a moment when

I think you lied to me today
when you told me that
my soul is lost
corrupt.
I deign to pity you
confounded
again.
