I discovered a new series:
Hustle. It is on the BBC, AMC, etc. It is fictional, about confidence artists who do semi-ethical long cons, and includes some nice fourth-wall breaking (including some "bullet time" freezing, but we'll ignore that) moments. I caught an episode of series 3 on AMC before San Francisco, and whilst there managed to catch up on series 1 (six episodes) and start series 2.
I am fascinated by confidence artists and cold reading and body language and whatnot. (Mere candid-camera acting bores me silly, though.) I know of a new "reality" series with some con-dude, and apparently there's a "Real Hustle" non-fiction spin-off. Any others I should know about? Let me know whether the new program Smith is any good. I've already zip-listed that movie about that guy with the careers. Books don't show the action, but I'll take recommendations for those too. Maybe I should watch more magicians, though misdirection and fast-fingers are only a small part of the Gestalt.
