I suppose this is only useful if I'm at a machine with a Jabber client, and nothing else. Such as a web browser. I can't imagine ever having a web browser closed, if one is available. Maybe if one is hard at work.
yeah, that's pretty much it for me. i do high-end graphics work, and it eats up memory like there's no tomorrow. as do web browsers. the twain do not go well together. but my jabber client is always up.
By talking to "lj_bot@livejournal.com"… Somehow that appeared in my Contacts List when I added my angharad@livejournal.com account to it. I think somehow also one's lj-friends are supposed to automatically show up, too. For example, I see that you're online.
