Boston Cream Pie

I realised sometime in the last week, while reading the Joy of Cooking, that the Boston Cream donut is named for the Boston Cream Pie.

Until this moment I had never heard of a Boston Cream donut. I have, however, heard of a Boston Cream pie. Based on my experiences with the latter, I'm making a goal of becoming intimately acquainted with the Boston Cream donut (maybe even several, gotta make up for lost time) in the near future.

When my brother-in-law was in town, he made a point of getting one/some (from Tim Horton's) because he'd been craving them, and gragathaz had to explain to me what it was, but still I didn't divide 22 by 7 to get Pie.
