Nectarine Pasties

Aug 01, 2005 19:22

(I'd've taken a picture, except that the camera turns out to be at UBC currently.)

So. Chopped nectarines + pie dough with egg and vinegar = tasty sizzling baked dumple. Very greasy and thus sizzly; fun to watch. Don't forget to slash!

Shape? I made one boring folded circle shape, three sort of burrito shapes, a ball, and a flattened ball (thick circle). Whilst I was being suchly creative, I rediscovered the Rustic Tart but closed it up. Grease sure smooths (ha!) the reshaping; multiply remoulded calzones would be harder to achieve.

Flavour? Not sure yet. I might add cinnamon and honey to the mix next time, but for now I'll just drizzle whatever I need to over the top.
