Newton's Nest - A Legacy Housebuild.
The last few days of summer, and Adam had been working hard, earning promotions, this time to the Botanist Branch of the Gardener Career - he was now a Plant Nerd! The lot was looking good, although the little shed he was living in was starting to feel cramped, and not really winterproof! He started thinking about all that space.....
His garden was producing plenty of crops, although it was all still outdoors, and he was working hard on his relationship with Zoe, to the point where he had now asked her to move in, and she'd agreed! That had meant adding a bit more furniture, as Zoe wanted to be a really sociable person, and for that a social media career seemed a good fit, but that meant they needed a computer! So, Adam had bought her a table, chair and a computer, and added a few more square metres to the house itself.
They'd also discussed the kind of house they wanted, and agreed on a ranch style, single storey house, with a nice master suite for themselves, and a couple of extra bedrooms, plus an open plan living style. They even used the new computer to look up a few and picked out a house plan they liked..... They found it on Houseplans.com strangely enough....
Adam spent the rest of the day laying out the plan, and called in a favour to get a slab foundation laid pretty darned quick. He hoped he'd drawn it out right, but then, he figured they could make it fit to start with at least, they'd have loads of room in the beginning! Just not enough money to build all those walls they would need, never mind windows and doors!
