That is AWESOME. Even if the comments make me want to stab myself in the eye.
Also: what voice part do you sing (out of curiosity), and do you want me to see if I still have the score I never gave back after SLU Concert Choir did Messiah?
Any chance you could pick me up?dakiwiboidNovember 28 2010, 18:48:52 UTC
The white Sunbird is down for the count until after December 8th, when we get a cash infusion. I still have my Messiah score, and I think I can still sing the alto part.
Got out my score and realized how long it's been since I've sung itdakiwiboidDecember 3 2010, 22:44:36 UTC
I bought this one for a Messiah singalong 16 years ago. EEEP! I actually last sang the oratorio more than 20 years ago. Most of my voice is gone, alas, so I shall be singing very, very quietly, and skipping all the long runs. Also big chunks of fugues, especially when I get lost, which is a LOT! I just sang through all the choruses with the help of YouTube and the MIT Chorus which is on WikiMedia or some other Wiki resource. I sounded a tad better when I finished than when I started, but I still suck.
It'll still be fun, however.
I have the grey Schirmer edition, edited by Max Spicker. I'll bet there will be a whole bunch of different editions there, however.
