the chronicle of wasted time

Apr 14, 2004 21:43

So I haven't updated in ages (for online values of "ages"), mostly because I've been insanely busy and haven't felt inclined to do it. I should probably be grading papers, but I'm thinking about taking the night off, since I'm tired anyway and can't think straight. (I'm ignoring the fact that I just got another stack to grade today. Huzzah.)

In any case, not much of particular note has happened in the last few days. I reread Cary this weekend and am beginning to feel like my paper is on track (though I told my relatives at Easter dinner what I was writing about and now they think I'm weird -- more so anyway). Continued to neglect the Shakespeare paper.

And my hot water heater is broken again. This pisses me off, as I really need to wash my hair, but I haven't had a chance to call maintenance because I haven't been home much over the last couple of days. So I feel like a total skank.

I did take a break from stressing, though, and went to the Cardinals game with a bunch of friends, although I had to leave early because I had Shakespeare class in the afternoon. Although the Cardinals weren't doing well when I left. (And I think I managed to get sunburned.)

I had something else to share, and I think it might even have been interesting or at least mildly amusing, and now I can't recall what it was...

Oh, and the Shakespeare festival lecture schedule is somewhat settled: I'll be explaining As You Like It to audiences who go see the show during the first week of June. :)

festival lecturing, maintenance bitching, cary
