self-quotation

I was looking up some line references in Henry V because I needed to make reference to it in the diss, and man, I must have been over-caffeinated when I read this play in the Riverside, because my marginal notes are unusually silly, even for me.

Crap from the margins of my Riverside:

Following the line "Where is my gracious lord of Canterbury?" "In! My! Pants!"

"Fun with Mortimers"

"Wine list!" (next to the roll-call of French nobles)

"Once again, Edward III's crotch is the source of all things."

"STUFF BLOWS UP."

"Deconstructive comedy!"

"Pikes! Pikes! Pikes!" (Yes, I have read The Art of Coarse Acting.)

"There's a lot of bodily fluid in this scene."

"Erpingham: I want my damn cloak back."

"Fluellen/Gower OTP!"

"Yay for homoerotic battlefield bonding. Which makes Exeter feel all girly."

"Tudor squee!"

"Williams FTW!"

"WHIFFLER! ♥"

Repeatedly in the margins of the leek-eating scene: "Ew."

"I'm sure Gower is familiar with Fluellen's handling of English cudgels."

"I cannot tell wat is dat = 'That's such crap.'"

"France/England OTP!"

What? I totally ship Fluellen/Gower. ;)
