for having a Lord of the Rings weekend at the worst possible time, when I have a ton of grading, a diss chapter to draft, and an abstract due. (Which is almost done, but feh.)
Annoyingly, as much as I love these movies, there are way too many bits of them that I am no longer able to take seriously on account of fandom. I crack up every time Legolas says anything.
Also, Gollum doesn't look real on TV, which is sad. He totally did on the movie screen. Lousy superior picture quality.
