It's 4:30 am, I can't sleep, there's nobody online, and the only thing on TV is the Star Trek episode with the space hippies.

I will say, though, that some of those space hippies have kind of cool musical instruments. That one guy with the bad blond wig? He plays the crossbow.

Hee! Next time I see that ep I will have to look out for him.

As a space hippie leader, he looked weirdly Tim Curryish. Also like his ears were going to fall off.

I love that episode!
Herbert! Herbert! And the way they all got on so well with Spock...

OS big-time fan here. The moral of the Eden-searchers episode is beautifully revealed.

Space hippies! The best bad episode of Star Trek. When I managed a comic store in 1975, I would borrow my sister's little TV set to share the program with my customers.I'm gonna crack my knuckles and jump for joy
I got a clean bill of health from Dr. McCoy!
I'll watch that one just about any time.

Wow, I remember that one. And they said Doctor Who was cheesy. ;)

I am old-school Who deficient, so I cannot comment on the relative cheesiness of Classic Who and Classic Trek. Which is sort of a shame; it would be fun. ;)

Doctor Who had aliens out of spray-painted bubble wrap, but we like it anyway. :)

As if the mini-skirt uniforms weren't hippie enough? Poor Chekhov, he really got shafted in the end.
