Shakespeare festival season is love.

I wonder why it is that Shakespeare festivals/theaters/whatever always do the same things within a few years of one another?

Witness, for instance, the Illinois Shakespeare Festival lineup this year: Caesar, Pericles, and Comedy of Errors. I saw an excellent Pericles in Chicago back in February, and the St. Louis festival is doing Caesar in a couple of weeks.

I may, at any rate, have to arrange a trip to Bloomington-Normal to see some plays; I tried last year but it didn't pan out. It doesn't look too expensive and it's within a not-totally-unreasonable driving distance. (I might even go see Caesar, since I'm sorely tempted to teach it in my Shakespeare class. It may not be one of my favorites, but it's very teachable.)

Also, is there a reason I can't get onto AIM, or does it just hate me?
