forgive me, awful Poet

I am seriously considering organizing a readthrough of John Dryden's The State of Innocence and the Fall of Man, for research purposes -- i.e., to see how it works as a script. (I don't think it's ever been performed.) You don't need that many people -- there are 13 speaking roles, and most of those could easily double up (I think the only person who can't is the actor reading Satan, because he's onstage pretty much the whole time). I could probably find enough people willing to do it, even...

Of course, I'd have to make everyone promise not to bail on me once they'd taken a look at the play, because Dryden was pretty clearly smoking some bad crack. ;)
