I suspect that in a filmed version, the production's faults will seem more significant: the thrill of being there for the first production of the first season made me willing to overlook some of those weaknesses. (For instance, they were overly in love with playing with the candle light--there were scenes in which the chandeliers were lowered to chest-level, and the action was played around them, which meant there was a possibility that someone might back up into a candle with a lock of hair or a bit of lace and go up in flames. I expect that after another production or two, "Let's do something with the candles!" will no longer be such a thing.)
