Local walks
I'm looking for recommendations for good local places for walks: something one can do without kids, in the evening -- whether it's a hike or a new town to explore. I've been to downtown, of course, and all the standard touristy places -- and a number of local hiking places, but I'm sure there are a lot of sites I haven't even heard of -- so go ahead and tell me about it. The walk can be anywhere from half an hour to a few hours; and "local" means under 2hrs driving time from Boston.
