Primerica does not have a good reputation for flexibility of product, training their reps, or how they pay them. Stay the hell away from them. They are trained salespeople first and foremost and will put your needs second to their own.

The point about finding financial talent outside of mainstream financial areas is very valid, however. A good financial advisor or representative truly cares about their client and will always put the client's needs above their own. A financial advisor is truly a "people person" with an ability to understand other people's current situations, empathize with their financial frustrations, help people formulate their goals, and motivate them to change their financial habits for a long-term benefit. A lot of education goes into working with your clients too. Financial details can be taught. Empathy and people skills cannot.

I had a feeling you would know about these folks. Thanks for the heads up. I think I will opt out of the meeting then. And by that I mean I just won't show up. :)

thanks again, breeder.

De nada.

I don't think it's a profession I would recommend at this stage in your family's life anyway. It's very difficult to make any money the first two or three years. The first year I only cleared five grand. It's brutal when you have kids, it really is.
