But they've basically done a graph of 'violent behaviour' (undefined), stuck a lunar calendar on top and seen the pattern they were already convinced was there..

Topically my housemate recently got the free Guardian book of weather free in the rag. One of the 'facts' in it is that there is apparently a similar correlation between violence and hot weather - although I think the violence peaked and tailed off if the heat continued. This would, of course, not happen with the moon.

In 1998, a three-month psychological study of 1,200 inmates at Armley jail in Leeds discovered a rise in violent incidents during the days on either side of a full moon.
