I HATE exercise, but I've decided that I need to do it for my health. My body is screaming at me to move it and lose it, lol. I have a gym at work that I can use for free, but I don't want to go in with a bunch of buff (grunting, lol) guys, in a room surrounded by mirrors, and be reminded of how I must look to them. No I shouldn't care what anyone thinks about me, but I do.
I've paid for gym memberships before, but I always end up not going. I'm tired at the end of the work day and it's mentally exhausting to try to convince myself to drive my car to the gym and get out and exercise. And it's ultimately disappointing because I don't do it. I just don't think it's a good idea to do a gym membership again.
My older sister and I constantly say we're going to work together to do it, but she had blood clots in her lungs which left them damaged, so whatever she does has to be done in short spurts, at least until we see if we can get her lungs better. So, I decided to get a treadmill for the house and she can push me and I can push her. If it's in our house, we can't make up excuses. It's not really an expense I want right now, but we need to do it.
Who would have thought that it would be so hard to find a stinking treadmill? We tried to go to the store that did exercise equipment on consignment. They moved and we couldn't find them. We went to Dick's Sporting Goods. We went to Sports Authority. We went back to Dick's Sporting Goods. We went to the next city and went to the consignment store down there. They have treadmills. They all had treadmills. The problem is the weight limit.
Now, follow me on this. If one is looking for a treadmill, it stands to reason that they're overweight, yes? So, I'm wondering why they have weight limits on treadmills. The irony in that just kinda smacks you in the face, doesn't it? *smh* Tomorrow is another day and I WILL find a treadmill!
