Graphite, my car

Oct 12, 2003 15:34

I have a car now! Finally! I have a car to call my own! It is sitting in the parking lot of my apartment complex.

It needs a waxing very badly. I just had the oil change, got a new oil filter for it, and I need to go and buy some more oil (so I'll have at least 1 bottle in case I need it) and some antifreeze. Then some car washing stuff and car wax. and some of those special towels.

Damn, my credit card is gonna be run up soon. Although it IS a platinum card, still, it'll be up by the time I'm done with my car.

Damn, I never imagine having my very own car. A car that belongs to me and only me and nobody else but me. My car...My Graphite. (Graphite = name of my car.) The story behind it was that the car is not black and graphite is not black so there you have it...Graphite. The top of the car has paint chipping but it wont get any worse if I wax it often and wash it often, which I suppose I'll do. Wow, cars can get expensive!

The seats that I have is bucket seats. When I take my car autocrossing, I'll need it so I wont be tossed around the car so much. I hope the seatbelts work! I'm afraid of taking the car autocrossing but Steve (the seller) told me that he'd be willing to take the car crosscountry and be sure that the car wont leave me stranded so I dont know, we'll see, we'll see! I'm sure Graphite wont leave me stranded. I take good car of the car, I am doing all that I can do to make sure that my car is running well and doing fluid checks quite often and oil changes every 3k miles.

I am going to go outside, sit and stare at my car. I can't drive it yet, and I wont be able to until Friday, oct 17th. There is a big red club on it, locking the steering wheel and paul has the keys. I can't drive my car. It's a good thing. I dont want to end up in jail or ruin myself forever. I want to start the car but I shouldnt, not everyday or more than once a day cuz I dont wanna kill the battery.

What a day it has been for me! what a day! There you have it! Joyce finally has a car to call her own, a car that she has only dreamt about, a car that she wished her parents own, a car that my parents never had since the old one broke when I was in the 8th grade. I lived without a car for 10 years almost! I'm all grown up now! I never had a car of my own either. First time in my life that I actually OWN my OWN car. I love you Graphite! Thank you for coming to me!
