So we’re trying to eat healthier, and we have a friend who’s mom lost 40 pounds on the raw food diet. Seeing that we like food, we felt that we can no longer trust ourselves to eat the bad stuff. So Monday night we threw everything out that was bad for us (not hard since we hadn’t gone shopping yet), and got a new shipment of veggies and fruits from a local group.
So we get the food, and we find half of it is substitutes for what we ordered. This kills our cooking plan since we had recipes all ready to go on this. So we have to spend more money on top of the $100 we’ve already spent on the “80 servings” we were supposed to have (it wasn’t 80 servings). Thursday we’re going to go to the local farmer’s market and hope that the food is better there.
Day 1 was ok, not too rough yet. We’ll probably hit that when we really start to detox. My poor son, Silas, who’s three months old, did not like mom’s breast milk. So we’ll probably be 80% raw/20% meat for a bit, especially since we don’t want mom’s milk to dry up.
