Whoa...!
What an AMAZING time in the life of me. Really. This is going to sound so self-centered, but whatever. I'm excited...which is nice after a totally boring (and COLD) 3-day weekend all alone in Shnox-a-rama.
-Thesis = complete! Just waiting on my second reader to get back to me, and it'll be defense-scheduling time! Whoo hoo!
-Ran 9 miles this morning! Bested my best by a mile. Yay for that. I knew I'd overcome the 8 mile plateau ONE of these days! Then because I was feeling like it, I went back and ran one more after a breif ab workout to make it an even 10 (though it definitely doesn't count as "10" since there was a break between miles 9 and 10). Really would like to run a marathon one day. Not even close yet, but baby steps, right? Today I broke the 1/3 mar mark! I'm so worried about starting dental school and getting off track with running--kind of like I did fall semester of this year. Wonder how far I could go if I hadn't stopped after this summer?? Kind of depressing, but that's okay. Easter was Sunday--time for new birth = back in the saddle (track?) hard core.
-My research methods professor was SO nice about letting me take my test early so I can go to a banquet Friday. So nice.
-The weather is considering getting warm again = I am considering being totally pumped.
-My friends are amazing. Simply.
-Mimi got a super beautiful dress for the opera, and I am super pumped about paparazzi'ing her all dolled up.
-Caleb IS in fact (knock on wood) going to be here for graduation! This is extra lovely because his parents and my parents will be meeting for the first time, so I'm really glad he's going to be here. (Weird that for 3.5 years, their paths have yet to cross, but I'm glad they finally will).
-Got a scholarship (academic!) to dental school--so, so excited about that!!
