(no subject)
Well, I'm heading back to school again today. I feel much better now after yesterday. *huggles moogle81984, kuja_rang, and sailoruresui*.
Lynn and I went to the wake together - we saw a lot of old friends from MHS (as well as one old friend from middle school - David Erlandson, who is still the same sweet guy I knew back at Carl Sandburg), including Mrs. Franco, Ryan Gavina, Ricky Sakoda, and even Christyn, Tim, and Ian. (Christyn and Tim are engaged! WAIIIII! ^^) We didn't stay there too long - we got there around 5:45ish, and we left after half hour since a) it was mostly family, and b) it was getting chock full of Frank's friends from college. When we did leave, the MHS people were starting to arrive - when Erinn and I were on our way home, she'd told me that EVERYONE from the chorus/theatre/cheerleading groups at MHS was gonna be there, and she wasn't exaggerating. I felt really terrible for Frank's fiancee - not only had she lost a great guy, but a month and a half ago, her sister had been murdered. The worst thing, tho, was seeing Frank there...I've been to two wakes before, but they were for my great-grandma and a great-uncle. I've never been to a wake for a friend - a memorial service almost 5 years ago, yes, but never a wake. I think if Lynn hadn't been there with me, I would've broken down upon seeing him.
After we left, we headed back to my house for a little bit, and called up David and Stephanie. They came to pick us up, and we went to the mall, wandered around for a while, and then went to Denny's for dinner (since none of us had had any real food all day ^^). I can't say how great it felt to be around you guys yesterday - that was chicken soup for my soul. *huggles again* Thanks, guys.
