Last night, after I got off work, my family went to the Cubs-Brewers game in Milwaukee. Whooo, that was fun! It was my first time going to a Brewers game in about 10 or so years, and it was my first time at Miller Park. That ballpark is AWESOME. They didn't need to bring out the retractable roof, but it looked cool in its stationary position. We sat in the third section from the ground, behind the first-base line. Good view, and at one point a foul ball popped up right into our section (just four rows away from where my family sat - Mom was a bit put down about that, lol). The first inning was great - when Maddux was getting ready to throw the last pitch, the Cubs fans were cheering. When that faded, the Brewers fans took their turn to boo. Well, of course, we couldn't have that, so the Cubbie fans practically filled the stadium with cheers and applause. Result: Maddux strikes the third man out. XD It was great during the last few innings, too - "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" was a hoot, since there were so many Cubs fans who belted out "CUBBIES!" instead of "Brewers". I daresay the Brewers manager isn't too thrilled with his last pitcher (I think it was Bennet or something), since the guy made two wild pitches. Of course, we couldn't complain, since it allowed us to make a 4-1 lead into a 7-1 lead, mwahahahaha. I just wish I could've had a picture of Greg Maddux jumping up into the air and catching a fly ball from the mound. That was sweeeeeet.
And even though we were hoping for a shutout, it was worth it to see Bernie (the Brwers mascot) go down that yellow slide to wave the Brewers flag. ^^ Good times, good times.
