Katsu report! Woo!
Katsu was pretty slick this year. The new hotel was really big, except they seemed to block off most of it, resulting in mass crowding. Ironcially enough, the con and hotel staff spent the entire weekend yelling at people for "being in the way". They have the same hotel next year, so hopefully, the con will be a little more spread out.
Parking was ass. When we got there, the entire lot was filled up (or so they say) as was the 3 nearest hotel's lots, so Jessi and I had to drive two miles down the road and park at a Mariott. That part sucked.
The con itself consisted of a few main parts. Shopping, Hanging Oot, and Photoshoots.
At any con, I have to go and buy an abundance of japanese candy. I need to. I just need to. So I did. :D
Photoshoots consisted of me and Missy, taking pictures of our Castlevania: SotN costumes. I had Richter Belmont, and she had Lisa Tepes. We barely finished em in time, only to take pictures in the glorious hotel. The hotel was sorta victorian and went perfect with our costumes. We got some outside in the courtyard, and some inside. It went pretty well, so ill be posting a bunch soon.
Hanging oots was awesome. I got to see many peoples that I lovses to see. I hadn't seen psythe and _rosiel_ in like friggin years, as well as arcticayeka and black_howling so we rocked out some Italian food, played some 3rd strike, and viewed some mad Dynamis action. Great times were had. And of course, seeing x_manbloodclot, queenginny, and kev was wonderful as usual, as we raided the dance and busted some mad shite up.
All in all, it was great seeing people, since me and Missy hadnt hit up a convention in about 27 years. Hopefully, we can catch everyone soon. :D
