Once the knock came she was very prompt to answer it seeing as how she'd been expecting him. Most of the flour has been dusted off and her repeating song is nothing but background music now. She gives him a smile before stepping back to allow him to come in.]

It was kind of you to invite me over.
[ He follows her into the kitchen, sharp gaze drifting over his surroundings and softening immediately as it rests upon items he remembered from his own kitchen, his own mother using. It seemed as though he was remembering another lifetime. The entire place had a warm, lived in feel to it. A stark contrast to his own place. It was more than enough to soothe his nerves and still his soul for the moment. Moments like this were rare and rarely found. ]
