Yes I will agree, both James and Sirius were way too cocky for their own good, but they were just two of many students in the house of Gryffindor. You can't hold the rest of the house responsilbe for what two morons do. Granted I love Sirius to death, hes one of my favourite characters, next to Draco and then Severus, but he was portrayed as being an arrogant, pompus git who needed to have a beatings laid into him, but he wasn't the only memeber of Gryffindor. As for Slytherins, well, yes I will agree also that we tend to be a bit narrow minded, that we tend to look down upon people who aren't like us, but what do people expcet when they are given the reputation that they are. We only get to see Slytherins from the view point of a Gryffindor, what fairness is that? With the rep they give Slytherins, of course Slytherins aren't going to be overly friendly, but they don't hate all of them, it just depends on who you talk to, whether or not they hate Gryffindors.

As for my banner, I got it from one of the shops over at Lumos, but its going to change soon, a friend of mine is making me a new one, and good luck on your sorting, I know when it comes to the rest of the slytherins your going to need it, I can't say anything about the rest of the house, but I would look for my fellow slytherins to be a bit harsher then the rest.....

You don't need to tell me we only see Slytherins from Harry's POV. I'm painfully reminded of it every time I read anything other than HBP's second chapter. ;) Given that, we barely see Ravenclaws at all. I am a Slytherclaw whether you like it or not, so I do like to credit myself with knowing Slytherins, too. Have been ever since I was a kid, having thought back to when I was 9 and 11 and whatever earlier today.

I expect at least one squib for "pushing for Slytherin" whether it's there or not. It's what at least one of you seems to do in every batch, with one or more people. Elitism is all fine and very well, but it got old very quickly when reading previous applications where I saw no push whatsoever. I've been waiting for the Slytherins to arrive, that is, especially as there are now so many Slytherin candidates in this particular batch. What is it, house outing?

I don't know, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see won't we? And most likely atleast one or more Slytherins will put you some where else or squib, thats just how it is.....And there aren't that many Slytherin candidates in this batch, there are just quite a few people who seem to be pushing for it, but there is one or two who I believe truly belong in Slytherin.....
