Do You Believe In Love?

Among my step-father's ancestors there is a family by the last name of Proud. They were partially French, and partially Canadian-Indian.

At one point in time, of the young Proud men fell in love with a lovely Irish girl that lived in his town, and he courted her for a long while. She always turned him down, however, because her parents would not allow her to marry anyone who was not Irish.

So the young man went to the City Hall and filed paperwork. A month later, his name was officially McProud.

The two were happily married, and their family has been known as the McProuds ever since.

big damn family tree, tales
