TITLE: Desperate Times
CHARACTERS: Matsumoto Jun, Inoue Mao
PAIRING: Jun/Mao
RATINGS: PG-13
DISCLAIMER: The only thing i own in this story is the plot...
A/N Note/Summary: I've read stories of Jun's needs... i've read stories of Jun's wants... This time, it's Mao's turn... :D
Technically speaking, Matsumoto Jun is one of the freer members of his group at the moment, if not the most free. He didn’t have any approved upcoming drama or movie (though they’ve received a few proposals already, just waiting for his, his manager, and Johnny or Higashiyama’s approval) and his only scheduled shoots are his group’s regular shows, their usual promotions, and his radio show (although, with that being said, he’s still busier than more than half of his jimusho). Their recent concert tour had just ended too, and the next one still being in the works.
But Jun being Jun meant that he would not just spend the time lying around. If he’s not reading one of the proposed scripts, he’s most likely reading another book. This time though, his attention is focused on the details for their next concert tour.
Mao knew that particular part of her boyfriend’s profession, especially the part where Jun seems to have this sort of fascination and obsession on the details of coming up with the concert. She especially knew that he felt that burn now more than ever since he had very little, or the least in recent years, hand in heir recently concluded tour.
Whenever she arrives at his apartment and sees him in their already, she’d see him pouring over plans and sketches or reviewing their concert footages, both official and unofficial. She had once joked that Jun had forgotten that his part is to perform and entertain their fans and not to plan everything else. Jun simply smiled at her and said that he’s doing it for their fans just the same.
Mao understood that, she really does. And she completely, one hundred percent, supports her boyfriend. But, well, a girl has needs. And while Jun wasn’t ignoring her, most of the time Jun would only be able to get to bed when it’s way past midnight when she’s already fast asleep or when she has an early shoot herself. That, or she wakes up on her own because he’s the one with the early morning shoot.
It was the latter that occurred when Mao opened her eyes early that morning and saw his side of the bed empty except for a piece of paper Jun had left on his pillow.
Reaching out to it, she read “Had to leave early Hime, we had an early morning shoot… Will be early tonight though… Love you…” she couldn’t help but heave a resigned sigh. She didn’t have to shoot late into the night too but for sure, Jun would be working on their concert plans when she gets home.
With a sigh, she pushed herself to her feet and headed to the closet to get a fresh batch of clothes. She had already accepted that there are some things she can not do anything about. But while she was picking out what clothes to wear for the day, her eyes caught sight of a certain outfit and she couldn’t help but smile.
Well, desperate times call for desperate measures.
-----
As expected, Jun was already buried deep into his plans for their next concert tour by the time she got to his apartment. This time, he’s reviewing the footage of their latest concert tour, Scene.
“You’re here early…” Jun said the moment she entered the apartment, evidently reaching out to put the video on pause judging by the sudden pause in the music belting out from the TV.
“Yeah… The shooting ended early…” Mao smiled as she walked towards him, kissing him full on the lips, the moment she reached him.
“Hmmm…” Jun smiled after that, although that smile had a small hint of amazement. Mao never really kisses him full on the lips when she’s just greeting him.
That was actually intended for Mao’s part although she continued trying to look like nothing is out of the norm and succeeding at it, and she couldn’t help but smile when she saw that Jun did notice it.
But when Jun’s hands that had wrapped itself around her waist fell to his sides with just a “Great!”, she had to stop a frown from being painted on her face.
“I’m going to go change now…” she told him as she headed towards the bedroom.
“Sure, Hime…” she heard him reply but soon after followed by the resumption of the video he had earlier paused. It seems that Jun’s attention is still fully on their concert.
Mao shrugged. With what she’s planning to do, that wouldn’t be for long.
-----
Jun’s eyes and attention was still fully on the TV when he heard Mao come out of the bedroom. He had already been given the green light by Johnny and Higashiyama to start the plans for their group’s next concert tour and he’s determined to make the best out of it after missing that opportunity for their latest tour.
But no matter how distracted he is, he knew there was something different with Mao. And it all started with that kiss. That thought continued to run through his head as he continued watching their concert video and it was confirmed when, about 15 minutes later, Mao joined him on the sofa.
Joined would be the proper term since she did not sit on the sofa, or sit next to him on the sofa. She sat, no, straddled, straight on his lap. And she wasn’t even wearing normal house clothes when she did. She was wearing a maid outfit, the maid outfit he had grown quite an affection for ever since he saw her wear it on set. The same maid outfit that was up halfway above her knees that used to disturb Mao when she first wore it because it was ‘too short’ but is now working very well for her.
“Ma--?” he ended up exclaimed in surprise, his hand instinctively landing on her waist. But before he could even finish saying her name, Mao had joined their lips and is kissing him. A split second later, Jun had taken the lead from her as their tongues started to dance.
After a while, they had to separate to catch their breathes, by which time Jun’s hair was already in great disarray because of Mao’s fingers and Jun’s hands had started working too, one working up to the back of her neck to push her into him to deepen that recently concluded kiss while the other landed on her leg and was still caressing it, even as the kiss ended.
“I missed you…” Mao whispered as she pressed her forehead to his, their noses touching. “You’ve been working too much lately…”
Jun couldn’t help but grin seeing that Mao’s eyes were closed as she said that.
“So you’re willing to go to this length just to get my attention?” he asked mischievously.
Mao quickly opened her eyes and saw the glint in her boyfriend’s eyes. Feeling slightly defensive of herself and her antics, she said “What? You don’t like it?” while pushing herself away from him.
Before she could get away though, Jun had pulled her back against him, her legs still straddling his lap.
“I didn’t say that…” he said before joining their lips again while the hand that was on her leg moved higher and higher.
Mao couldn’t help but cheer triumphantly in her mind. Jun might have won that battle, but she’s winning the war.
Well, they both are.

TITLE: Trying Is Not The Keyword
CHARACTERS: Ninomiya Kazunari, Nagasawa Masami
PAIRING: Nino/Masami
RATINGS: PG-13
DISCLAIMER: The only thing i own in this story is the plot...
A/N Note/Summary: Nino tries to be cute (Nino's response: "What do you mean by 'trying'?)
It was the third time Nino did that in the past hour, to “accidentally” bump into her despite the fact that she was just sitting on the sofa in the living room of his, their, apartment. She had already even inched to the farthest side of the sofa just so Nino would have enough free space while he’s playing his DS and so that he wouldn’t be nudging her time and again while she read her script.
But for some reason, Nino’s arms managed to knock over her hand (and script) when he ‘stretched’ his hands after completing a level of his game. And she wouldn’t have given it any thought if Nino hadn’t done that exact same action barely seconds after the first one.
“Nino…” Masami sighed in exasperation, looking up for the first time that evening from her script only to find her boyfriend looking at her with a very cute smile.
“What?” Nino asked almost innocently, his ability of being a good actor not taking effect when Masami noticed that he was, in fact, waiting for her to look up from her script.
Stopping herself from rolling her eyes, she said “You’re trying to be cute…”
Nino grinned as he inched closer to her.
“Now, there‘s one very big problem with that statement of yours…” he said. “When you say ‘I’m trying to be cute’, it means that I am not cute in the first place and am just trying to look like a cute person… But since we both know that I am cute, and good-looking, in the first place, I can not be just trying to look cute because I already am…”
Masami looked at him seriously for a few seconds before she sighed and shook her head. She knew that the moment enters that kind of mood, the mood wherein he’s suddenly playful and talkative and when he suddenly ignores his DS which is now lying next to him on the sofa, it only means one thing, that Nino is bored. And, also, that he wants attention.
And while she usually indulges him during those moments, his timing isn’t particularly good for this one. She had just received a proposal script for the next drama she might be working on and her manager had asked her that, as much as possible, the response would be ready by tomorrow morning. And while she’s liking the concept and her possible role in the story, she was only past halfway the script.
This is why despite Nino’s almost innocent smile, emphasis being on the almost part, she only gave him a quick kiss on his cheeks before focusing her eyes on her script again.
Nino, it turns out, is not to be contented with just a quick kiss on the lips, especially with the fact that her attention returned to her script again.
Before Masami knew it, Nino’s head had made its way to her lap where he now looks up to her, right between the space of her script and her chest, cheekily.
Masami simply shook her head without taking her eyes off her script, despite the obvious distraction there.
For a few seconds, Nino looked content with Masami just letting him stay there. But, well, Nino is Nino and he won’t stop until he gets what he really wants.
Before Masami knew it, she suddenly felt a warm blow against her short, towards her stomach. Looking down, she realized that, of course, it is Nino, blowing softly into her navel.
And while the action is sending all sorts of sensations all throughout her body, she fought hard to retain her senses as she asked “What are you doing?”
Looking up to her briefly, Nino replied “Nothing…” before returning back to what he was doing before she asked the question.
Fighting hard not to groan, she bucked so that Nino had to sit back up. But persistence was Nino’s middle name at the moment because while he did sit up, his hand landed straight on her legs, slowly, swiftly, and so expertly caressing it.
“Nino…” Masami groaned, half in exasperation and half in plain reaction of what his hand is doing to her. “Stop that…”
“Stop what?” Nino asked, playing innocent.
“Nino…” Masami repeated, her voice a little stronger this time.
Nino did withdraw his hand only for it to be replaced by his other hand as he leaned over to start kissing her by her shoulder, working on his way up.
“Nino…” Masami said again, her hands starting to feel weak at the sensations he has awakened in her.
“I miss you…” Nino said in between kisses to her nape up to the back of her ears. “And you’ve been ignoring me because of that script…”
“I need to read this before tomorrow…” Masami insisted although the script is now on her lap, her hands already weak as Nino’s hand progressed to her waist.
But perhaps turning her head to face Nino and insist what she needed to do was not the right idea since the moment she did that, Nino’s lips moved from behind her ears to her lips before she could even say anything.
Maybe because she was already willing because she wouldn’t really say that Nino’s a real expert at seducing her, but she ended up kissing him back, responding to the fire that seem to have ignited way earlier within her boyfriend. And before she knew it, her back was already on the sofa with Nino hovering over her with quite a triumphant grin.
“You’re incorrigible you know…” she ended up telling him.
“Yeah…” Nino grinned. “But you still love me…” he added before capturing her lips again, this time leading towards something more than just kissing.

“You do know that you’re acting almost like the father…” Erika started conversationally as she leaned over the island counter that separates Mao’s kitchen to the living room. She had just finished making herself and her cousin some snacks which was actually what she handed the guy before telling him that.
“I am not!” Toma insisted as he took the glasses of juice from Erika’s hands.
“Oh really?” Erika snorted. “So how exactly would you describe what you’re doing right now if it’s not ‘playing dad’ to Mao-chan’?” she challenged.
She was already actually at her own apartment, thinking of doing a bit of the laundry when her phone rang and she saw that it was Mao. It was a plea for help from Mao to be exact.
It’s already Friday which means it’s about time for Mao’s follow-up date with their boss. It also means that it’s the first date that Toma knew about beforehand, something that her cousin took to mean taking the chance to badger the already anxious Mao in her apartment.
Maki wasn’t at her apartment yet, seeing that she said she’s dropping off at the mall to buy something, which is why Erika went to Mao’s apartment on her own, to try and distract Toma while Mao prepares for her date. To a certain extent, Erika can say that she succeeded because Mao managed to slip to her bedroom to prepare without Toma badgering her.
“I’m being a best friend…” Toma insisted.
“Best friends don’t normally harass their best friends before dates…” Erika stated as she entered the living room with the bowl of finger foods in her hands. “And they also try to look supportive at the very least…”
True enough, there was actually a scowl in Toma’s face, that wasn’t directed to anyone in particular, as he took a sip of his juice.
“Will you please lighten up?!” Erika exclaimed. “This is Mao-chan we’re talking about… She knows how to take care of herself… Besides, Matsumoto-san seems like a really nice guy…”
“He’s your boss, of course you’ll say that…” Toma snorted.
“Well, you’re my cousin, and I’m saying you’re being a hard-headed, annoying, and completely unsupportive idiot…” Erika retorted just as Mao’s doorbell rang.
She and Toma caught each other’s eye. Then she ran out to the door before Toma could do anything preposterous like slamming the door in the guy’s face.
“Is that him already?” Erika heard Mao exclaim from the bedroom, a note of panic already in her voice, just as she opened the door.
It wasn’t Matsumoto yet though but Maki. A slightly flustered Maki.
“Sorry… Did I miss anything?” Maki exclaimed.
“No… Not yet…” Erika called as even Toma breathed out a slightly relieved sigh.
-----
“They make a gorgeous pair…” Erika sighed as she, Maki and Toma stood at Mao’s door watching Jun and Mao head towards his car. Jun had already come and picked Mao up and, with the efforts of both Maki and Erika, Toma managed to not actually morph into Mao’s ‘father’ while the guy is there.
Actually, part of the credit should be given to Jun too, who, throughout the whole time he was in the living room with Toma (and Maki) while waiting for Mao to finish preparing and while Erika rushed to the kitchen to prepare something for the guy, remained calm and collected, even despite the slightly intimidating presence of Toma there.
“Aren’t they?” Erika had to turn and ask when after a few seconds and considering that Jun’s car had already started, no one of her two companions said anything.
“Huh? Of course they are…” Maki exclaimed as if snapping out of very deep thoughts. “Yeah…” she added distractedly. Maki seemed a bit off it actually since Erika opened Mao’s door for her.
“Are you sure you’re all right?” Erika asked.
Maki blinked furiously for a while before she smiled and said “Of course I am… Something just came to my head…” and then she sighed and added “Here’s hoping their date goes well…”
“Well, I’m not…” Toma stated grumpily on Erika’s other side.
While Erika simply shook her head and rolled her eyes, Maki turned to Toma and snapped “You can go all Frankenstein or the big bad best friend on Matsumoto-san all you like, but will you at least please be happy for Mao-chan?!”
Toma, and even Erika, was rooted momentarily on the spot after that sudden explosion as Maki stormed into the apartment.
“Wow!” was all Erika could say.
Toma, on the other hand, asked curiously and as if he wasn’t the one Maki had just exploded at, “What’s wrong with her?”
Erika turned to look at her cousin in slight amusement before she shook her head and admitted “I don’t know…”
-----
Mao couldn’t stop the sudden erratic beating of her own heart once she realized where Jun had driven her too.
She had already asked him where they’re going but Jun simply chuckled and told her it was a surprise. She was surprised all right. Because she wasn’t expecting that Jun would lead her to his house, not his dad’s house, apparently, but his bachelor’s pad. They hadn’t entered yet, actually, they were still just walking to the door.
It was a good thing that Jun’s hand where on her elbow because she had a feeling that her feet would and could turn jelly at any moment. She wasn’t afraid, per se, or excited. She a bit felt weird that it’s too early yet for her to go to his pad. After all, it’s still just their second date.
“Are you all right?” she heard Jun ask as his hand left her elbow to reach out and open the door.
“Yeah…” she replied in s small voice. If truth be told though, she was trying her best to stop her imagination from running wild. After all, there’s a lot of things that could happen behind closed doors, within closed quarters, some, if not most, she hadn’t prepared herself to experience yet. Most important of which is the fact that she’s not prepared to be disappointed at him.
But when he opened the door, she couldn’t help but smile as even her heart soared. She’s not going to be disappointed with him after all. Not just yet.
-----
A familiar voice floated towards them from the living room as she and Jun made their way through the short hallway that connects that part of the pad to the door. When she turned to look at Jun, Mao saw that he was smiling.
“I knew you’d feel uncomfortable so I told him to come along…” he said.
In all honesty, Mao didn’t know how to properly respond to that, or if she should respond to that at all which is why she only smiled. By the moment they caught sight of ‘him’ at the living room, they saw that ‘he’ wasn’t alone.
-----
“I know I told you to come here but I don’t remember saying that you drag Yuri along…”Jun told Yuya as his nephew, Yuri, age 14, jumped up to give his uncle a huge hug before turning to look interestedly at Mao. “Does Hiro-kun know about this?”
“Of course he does!” Yuya exclaimed cheekily as he set down the DS he was evidently teaching Yuri to play before they entered. “It’s Nii-san’s fault Yuri’s with me anyway… He assigned me as the baby-sitter for the night… It’s one of their million and one anniversaries…” he told his brother before turning to Mao with a huge smile and said “Hi! You’re Horikita Maki-chan’s friend, right? I’m Yuya. And I’m much, much more handsome than my older brothers…”
Jun simply snorted.
-----
Mao never had a brother. Well, she never had siblings seeing as she was the only child. But in case she would have had younger and/or older siblings, she’d love it if their relationship would be as good as the relationship she’s seeing between Jun and Yuya, and even with Yuri who’s already old enough to be considered as their brother and not as their nephew.
She was at the living room with Yuri, watching some shows while Jun dragged Yuya along with him to the kitchen to prepare.
Jun had said, before leaving her with his nephew, that he’d planned that they go out to some restaurant he liked but he was unable to make a reservation for them at the last minute which is why he decided to do the next best thing, cook for her. Before she could question if that was a good idea though, that Jun cooks for her, Jun and Yuya had already entered the kitchen.
But since it is just a bachelor’s pad, meaning that the walls separating the different rooms, other than the bedroom, weren’t really that thick, they could easily hear the banter coming from the kitchen. And her head couldn’t help but continue turning towards their direction.
Yuri, it turns out, wasn’t disturbed of what he’s hearing though since he didn’t even took a look towards their direction. Instead, his eyes were focused on her.
By the fifth time Mao’s head turned towards the kitchen’s direction, Yuri poked at her arm, making her turn to him instead.
Yuri bestowed him one very cute smile before asking “Are you dating Uncle Jun?”
Since Yuri is a teen-ager asking that question, it shouldn’t really come as a surprise to Mao, but since Yuri looked so much younger than that of a 14 year old, she still felt a bit taken aback.
With a hint of a blush, she replied. “Yes… I think so…”
And then Yuri grinned. “Good… I like you already… “
Before Mao could even think of any sort of reply to that, they heard Jun’s voice rising from the kitchen.
“You’re supposed to help out, not eat…” he was saying and then came Yuya’s response “What can I say? I’m a better eater than that of a cook!”
“Is there a disaster impending?” she ended up asking Yuri.
After one quick glance to the direction of his uncles, Yuri turned to her and nodded. “Yeah… We might end up eating after midnight if Uncle Jun ends up grilling Uncle Yuya before he starts working on his pasta…” he said.
Mao laughed as they pushed themselves to their feet before heading to the kitchen, with Yuri’s hand in Mao’s.
“I guess it’s a better idea if I do the helping…” she told Jun amusedly the moment the brothers entered her and Yuri’s line of sight.
And it was a good thing she was able to say that out before she could really take in the appearance of her date for the night. Jun still hadn’t changed to his home clothes which is why it is his business attire, sans the coat of course, that was draped over the apron he had put on. The combination had quite a different effect on him, making him look all the more good-looking.
And then she saw Jun open his mouth to say something, most probably to say no, but then he looked at his younger brother and sighed before taking another apron from the rack and handing it to her. She ended up chuckling, and so did Yuri, because she saw Jun throwing a sharp look at his brother before he did, something that Yuya responded with a shrug.
-----
“You never said that you were a good cook…” Mao told Jun.
The two of them were already at his car, on their way back to her apartment, dinner having finished successfully over an hour ago, aided and abetted by Yuya and Yuri.
Yuya had already claimed during dinner that Jun is the best cook in their family, maybe with the possible exception of Nanako, Yuri’s mom and presently the only female in the immediate clan. After tasting his pasta special, she couldn’t say she could disagree.
“The opportunity to say it never came up…” Jun simply smiled and she ended up chuckling.
After that though, they both feel into a comfortable silence, a silence that was only broken when Mao started “What did Yuya mean about the million and one anniversaries Hiro-san and his wife is on?” remembering Yuya’s words when they first entered Jun’s pad.
“Nothing much…” Jun shrugged. “Hiro-kun just has this ability to come up with a million and one reasons when he wants him and Nanako-chan to go out… And he usually comes up anniversaries… The anniversary of their first meeting, first date, first kiss… Stuff like that…”
“Sweet…” Mao commented as Jun turned towards the curve leading to her apartment.
“Run’s in the family…” Jun grinned, throwing her a quick playful wink as he did.
Mao chuckled but she felt herself blushing at the implication of what he just said. They didn’t say another word even when Jun stopped his car in front of her apartment and opened the door for her.
“So…” Jun started as they were walking towards her door. “I’m sorry the night didn’t go as smoothly as I planned…”
“It’s all right…” Mao smiled. “I enjoyed tonight… I had fun talking to your brother and nephew…”
“Only with them?” Jun asked in a slightly raised eyebrow and a sweet smile as they stopped in front of her door.
Mao laughed although she felt the heat in her face heightening. “Of course, with you too…” she added.
Jun’s eyes glistened at the response and Mao felt herself caught in that. They didn’t say anything after that, they just stood there looking in each other’s eyes. Somewhere in the back of Mao’s mind, she realized that it was almost like she was back to being a teen-ager and that it was just her first date and she had this feeling that she somehow didn’t want that moment to end.
And then Jun cleared his throat and said “I guess I better get going before my pad ends up in a disaster…”
“Uhm… Yeah…” Mao replied, suddenly in a slightly constricted throat. After a split-second hesitation, she leaned over to give him a quick kiss on the cheeks, a move that may or may not have sunned the both of them.
“Bye then…” she ended up saying before quickly stepping into the door that Jun had already previously opened for her.
“Yeah… Bye…” Jun smiled.
-----
“She kissed him!” Erika screeched.
She, Maki, Toma, and Ryo were already in Erika’s apartment, the former three heading there after Mao left with Jun. Toma would have preferred staying in mao’s apartment to wait for Mao’s arrival but she conceded after Erika received Ryo’s message that he’s already on her way to Erika’s apartment.
And the four of them have stayed there, waiting in anticipation of Mao’s return. Well, three of them in anticipation that Mao’s date is successful and the last one in anticipation that Mao gets home soon. Erika and Maki, in particular, had glanced at the window several times in the past hour or so every time they hear a car coming.
“Just on the cheeks though…” Ryo shrugged.
“That’s a start…” Maki commented. “Bonus points that Mao-chan initiated the kiss and not Jun-san…”
“Agreed!” Erika grinned.
While Ryo ended up nodding his agreement in the reasoning of the two, Toma withdrew from his spot at the window with a loud groan.
This attracted everyone’s attention immediately, especially Maki’s.
“Don’t tell me you’re going to Mao-chan’s place?” she challenged.
“No!” Toma snorted as he slumped back on the seat he was occupying prior to Erika’s announcement that she had just seen Jun’s car stop in front of Mao’s apartment.
While Ryo and Erika looked at him in a mix of amusement and disbelief and Maki with a hint of annoyance, he really didn’t plan on going to Mao’s place.
Even he saw how happy, or almost giddy, Mao looked when she got back. If he goes to her apartment with his dark mood still on, he might end up ruining her night for her. And that’s one thing he didn’t want to happen.
