Turning a poorly organized paper full of wording and grammatical problems into something looking more or less acceptable is definitely worthy work. Contrary to what some people may think, I don't usually hate such work, and sometimes I even find myself enjoying it. However, it does get a bit boring at times, particularly when there seems to be something more creative to do.
Well, after I get this one finished I would have completed 8 reviews and 6 beta-reviews in this semester (with 44 days left!). ::feel accomplished for a while, then realize that I haven't written much myself::
By the way, I think what I really hate is to reword a paper over and over again, not actually improving it for the most part, but only to satisfy the strange whims of some reviewers or some ultra-strict length constraints. Sometimes I really think that a full rewrite would give a much better result--and it would probably take less time as well!
