I am so tired. Since thursday I have had 3 family members go into the hospital, and I've done so much driving I never want to get to in my car again.
Class ran late wends. night so I was up really late. We have mid-terms coming up, so we were doing a review and I was setting up a study group with a couple of the people in class. So I wake on Thursday morning, and I've been up for all of 15 minutes when my mom calls and tells me, Uncle Jerry is in the hospital and Nana can't drive because of her leg (she has nerve damage from a back surgery). I need you to go up there and help her.
So I threw some clothes in a bag and drove up there, which takes about 3 hours. I got there, then my grandmother and I drove to the hospital, which was another hour and a half, then we had to go to my Uncle's apartment, which was another 45 minutes, then back to the hospital and back to my grandmothers. Thursday night they called us and told us they were transferring my uncle to the heart hospital because he was in congestive heart failure. So friday I drove my grandmother into Fresno, which was and hour and a half, then we went back up to my uncles which took 3 hours, so we could get him clean clothes and we took his laundry so we could wash it. Then on Saturday, while I was doing 10 pages of math homework, my godmother gets a phone call, my cousin/god-sister is in the hospital, she OD'd. So I drive into Mariposa, which is an hour to pick up her son, who was the person who called the ambulance when Allison (my cousin) collapsed, ( I had to go because my godfather is in the hospital because of heart and lungs, mostly because he has been smoking for more years then I have been alive and my godmother was trying to deal with his hospital)and then I took my uncles wash back to his apartment, which was another hour. Then on sunday I drove my grandmother into Fresno again, and back to her house. Then yesterday I got up, drove home, and went to class.
I realize it's petty of me to complain when Papa John, Uncle Jerry, and Ally are in the hospital, but I am tired, so sue me.
It looks like everyone is going to be ok, which is a relief. Uncle Jerry's heart is mushy, which is bad, but they did an angogram, and his arteries are good. He is Bi-Polar and on more medications then I can count, but he isn't aware enough to know how to take them (and I am serious when I say he isn't aware, when I walked into his hospital room he thought I was my mom, his sister. He isn't aware of all the years that have passed sometimes), so my grandmother and I think he is taking his meds wrong. I went through his medicine cabinet to make a list for his doctors, and he had duplicates of some medications, and some bottles that had just been filled were empty. I think they are going do some blood work, and then hopefully detox him to get his system clean before they start him on anything else and send him home. He needs full time help, so my grandmother is working with his social worker to try and get that. Papa John, my godfather, is going to be in the hospital for awhile, they don't know when they will release him. Allison, should be released soon. She over-dosed because the doctor gave her the wrong instructions and dose of something. They put her on methadone for pain management, which I've never heard of before, and they gave her 40MG tablets 3 times a day, so she was taking 120MG a day. The correct dose was 10MG, 3 times a day. The doctor says she almost died because some doctor was to busy to pay attention to what he was writing. I can't believe that no one noticed that she was getting 30MG to much of a drug that can kill you!!! I hate stupid people, and stupid doctors are the worst.
On the bright side: Kingdom Hearts 2 will be released soon!!! I can't wait to play. Although I need to get the some info from My Evil Twin about Chain of Memories so I know what plot points I missed, if any.
Ok, now that I've vented, I have to go do homework... *insert several curse words here* I hope everyone had a better weekend then me. *hugs to all*
