I haven't updated this thing in a very long time. Good news: I'm not dead. Bad news: Now I am going to take a long post.
Lets see. Well, my whole family, with the exception of my dad, who had to work, went to Disneyland for the 3 days before X-mas. It was fun. Well, as much fun as anything can be with my entire family in one place. It was my mom, my grandmother, my 2 sisters, my brother, my brother-in-law, me, my 4 year old niece and my 5 month old nephew.
Alexis had the time of her life. Everything was all decked out because 2005 was the 50th anniversary year. Everything had gold ears and a 50 on it. It was awesome watching Alexis see all the stuff for the first time. She was in heaven. We bought her one of the autograph books and she saw all the princess. Snow White gave her a lesson on how to curtsy, because Alexis was wearing her "Princess in training" shirt. So when she walked up to Snow White, the girl playing Snow White asked Alexis if she had ever had a princess lesson. When Alexis said no, she showed her how to curtsy. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. Alexis loved the roller coasters. She went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, The Matterhorn, but she wouldn't go on the Roger Rabbit ride... She didn't like the ones that were dark and loud. OH! And she loved Star Tours.... We got on the ride, and strapped in and the went threw the whole thing, having laser beams shot and us and so forth, and for anyone who has never been on the ride, its supposed to be like they are flying you on a plane to the Endore moon.
So we get off the ride and Alexis asks me "Are you going to see lots of neat stuff and then go back?" And I'm confused so I ask her, "Go back where?" and she tells me, "We left Nana (my mom) and French Nana (my grandmother) at Disneyland. We have to go back." Apparently, she thought the ride was a real plane ride. My sister and brother-in-law are behind us, CRACKING up, laughing so hard they can barely stand. I'm trying not to laugh at her, cause she hates that, so finally I told her that they flew us in a circle and we were already back at Disneyland.
Ethan was so good. At 5 months old I expected him to be crabbier about all the traveling and being in the stroller all the time, but he was so good. He was a happy camper. And he got his first tooth at Disneyland :)
Christmas was loud, as is every holiday at my house. It was fun, though. Alexis got so many toys, it was just a mountain of presents. I was scared it was going to tip over and crush her. New years was uneventful. I spent it with my family, watching movies and hanging out. Boring, but at least I didn't have a hang over.
School starts again soon. *insert sarcastic yay sound here*
Well, thats it. I should go find something productive to do...
